The Highland Dancing Competition

The highland dancing competition will be run on Saturday 12th. July 2008 starting at 12-30 hours.

Instruction / tuition will be available for beginners.

Under 7’s                        1 or 2 Step Highland Fling, Pas de Bas.

Ages 7/8                          2 + 1 Step Sword Dance, 4 Step Highland Fling.

Ages 9 / 10 / 11 / 12         3 + 1 Step Sword Dance, 6 Step Highland Fling Seann Tribhas.

Ages 13 / 14 / 15 / 16       6 Step Highland Fling, Barracks Johnnie, Hornpipe, Reel of tulloch.

There will be prizes for 1^st,  2^nd,  and 3^rd place in each dance plus overall winners prizes and a prize for best Local Braemar/Crathie/Ballater Dancer for each dance.

Places in the dance competitions will be guaranteed by submitting names before the day to:
